American Standards in the Toilet - Rants
Rant #1 - I thought people had to be able to sing fairly well to get signed or recognized or whatever.... Is it me or do the people guest singing on these morning shows reallly stink. Maybe you're all playing your music so loud you're deaf or using ipods and everything sounds good? Just because someone (the media) tell you these people are any good doesn't mean you have to believe them. Duh.
Rant #2 - Customer service is non-existent, the real kind anyway where the sales people actually know what they're talking about and can think for themselves. If they tell you the worng thing, they should be accountable. Again back to the dumbing down mentality.
Rant #3 - One movie I recommended to my kids to watch is Idiocracy. It seems like such a moronic movie but when you really start watching it you can see many similarities with America today and where we're headed. Maybe if the global warming "scare" lasts long enough we'll all start to give a crap about the world we live in and stop being such wasteful moochers. Otherwise, welcome to our future of Idiocracy. Why is being intelligent so bad? Are we too smart to buy the BS you're selling?
Rant #4 - Stop yelling at me. Why does it seem that every cable "news" show think they have to yell at you? Do they feel they have to shout so you'll watch them or make the crap they're rehashing sound more believable. Nancy, you know who you are.
Rant #5 - Potty humor. Wow, it takes a real creative person to think up fart jokes that will get a laugh, Larry. Martha, thanks for that. I heard you term that phrase on your show, I didn't have a term for it nor was sure what it was I hated so much about those types of jokes. Potty Humor you called it. Not so funny, nor clever either. Folks, why don't you raise your standards a little. huh? Have a little self-respect.
Get your reality check and watch some George Carlin. He sure had us pegged didn't he? I'll miss you. Grab his set before it's gone...
